La gentilezza e la cortesia regnano sovrane all'hotel zilema. Io mi sono sentita a casa, mi sono letteralmente innamorata della mia stanza dai colori chiari e rilassanti e del bel terrazzo privato dal quale potevo vedere il mio amato mare, il tramonto, e un fantastico cielo stellato di notte. Sicuramente ricorderò il sorriso e la disponibilità di dusy, la discrezione e I modi gentili di federica, la simpatia e la dolcezza di rosa. Ricorderò la buonissima crostata che mangiavo a colazione e le 2 mitiche signore delle pulizie angela ed emilia, che come nel film di mary poppins mi facevano tornare la stanza pulita e come nuova in uno schiocco di dita anche quando non avevo le forze di alzarmi dal letto perchè la sera prima avevo fatto le ore piccole! E poi mi bastava attraversare la strada che ero già in spiaggia! Sono stata davvero benissimo!

As were visiting family in a nearby town (Fagnano Castello) The Hotel Zilema offered a excellent location right on the ocean. The room was great and staff were friendly and helpful, offering excellent service. The breakfasts were substantial in a large dining room with great views, with a freshly cooked omelet if desired!! Plenty of parking, and free Wifi available. We really enjoyed out stay, 5 nights at Hotel Zilema

Stayed in hotel Zilema in mid October, weather was still good, easy access to the beach, enjoyed the walk along the beach. Many restaurants were closed for the season so we ate at the hotel. Dinner food was fresh and tasty. The receptionist, Dusi, spoke English, she was most accommodating with any of our requests, E.G. immediately replaced the fridge in our room that was not working. She was knowledgeable about the area and gave clear directions. She was friendly and displayed good people skills and understood the need for good customer service, not often found in the service industry in Italy.

Hotel sehr zu empfehlen, allerdings ist in dieser Gegend ein Auto notwendig (kann zb. am Flughafen Lamezia Terme gemietet werden). Viel Spaß

Das Hotel ist gut und sauber. Die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück ist qualitativ gut, aber italienisch einfach. Die Nähe zum Meer und dem sehr sauberen Strand ist perfekt. Das Zentrum erreicht man per Auto in 2 min, zu Fuß 15 min.

This is the second time we have stayed at this Hotel and again we have had a fabulous stay. This family run hotel is spotlessly clean, the food is gorgeous and freshly prepared and the owners will do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. They also speak very good English and will help with any translation, taxi bookings, etc. The hotel is across the road from beach (at this time of year there are hardly any trains that go past) and is within easy reach of beautiful towns, eg. Diamante, Belvedere and St Francesco Monastery in Paolo. The 14th Century town at the top of the hill is worth a visit to see the wonderful views from the top. This family is also now opening a new B&B (Luigiane B&B) which is in Terme Luigiane, this is further up in the hills near the Spa and is so peaceful, it's wonderful. Again you will get the excellent service and facilities that this family excel at. I would wholely recommend this Hotel to anyone wanting to stay in a 'real' Italian little town, next to the Beach and near the Spa. Consiglio sulle camere: Ask for the 3rd floor with a sea view.

Vi var meget tilfredse med et overordentlig venligt og ekstemt hjælpsomt personale.Vi opholdt os på hotellet i 4 dage og havde dejlig balkon med udsigt over Middelhavet. At der lige foran går en delvist befærdet vej og at der også lå en jernbane betød faktisk ikke noget særligt. Afstand til Middelhavet under 75 meter.Vi spiste hver aften på hotellet, og maden var rigtig god og til en særdeles rimelig pris. Også morgenbuffeten var af fin standard.Hotellet kan varmt anbefales. Pessoal muito receptivo, internet funcionando muito bem, estacionamento free, cafe da manha satisfatorio. QUartos apertados para familia, mas atendendo bem a necessidade de passar a noite... quartos atras do trilho de trem, nao chegou a incomodar. Preco poderia ser mais justo pelo que hotel oferece. Inoltre, cogliamo l’occasione per ringraziarvi del piacevole soggiorno trascorso presso il vostro hotel, in un ambiente curato, tranquillo ed accogliente, reso ancor più gradevole dalla vostra cordialità e dalle vostre piccole attenzioni. Già ne sentiamo la mancanza.

Camera accogliente e funzionale con vista sul mare (con un sottofondo dolce e rilassante : quel fragore delle onde sulla battigia che accompagna il sonno come una sinfonia). Ambiente molto familiare e cordiale grazie alla squisita simpatia ed ospitalità dei proprietari. Colazione ricca e abbondante a buffet e/o servita con gentilezza e cortesia dalla splendida Dusy.Vicino all' Hotel, tutto quello che si possa desiderare quando si è in vacanza: mare, terme, ristoranti con ottima cucina a prezzi stracciati, luoghi di culto, bellezze naturali, tradizioni e tanto relax . Impossibile non ritornare!....

La très grande gentillesse de la préposée à l'accueil et malgré la simplicité du repas, il était excellent. Aussi, la possibilité d'avoir accès sans problème à wi fi, est un très grand avantage.

Ci siamo trovati benissimo. Hotel pulito, accogliente con staff davvero professionale. Per non parlare della cucina...molto genuina.. The family who ran the hotel were very capable and friendly and although it was mentioned in previous write-ups, the nearby railway between the sea,road and hotel was absolutely no problem. the hotel was very clean and modern and we would stay again.

This is a Family run Hotel and the staff are very helpfull and speak English. We arrived late at night after the Restaurant had closed and they sent out for a Pizza for us which we enjoyed on the balcony overlooking the sea with half a carafe of there house wine. If you are looking for a pleasant, reasonable, clean hotel to stay in I would consider Hotel Zilema. We were there for 5 nights with a family of 5 and if I was able to go back to that area of Calabria I would stay there. Friendly staff, clean place and Vincenzo speaks pretty good english. We were visiting family inland so we weren't able to eat pranza or cena at the hotel but they were very proud of the meals they offered and I am sure that they would have that home cooked taste and presentation.
Out of 5 stars I would give them 4. Not in the sense of location, luxury and facilities but comfort, cost and hospitality. Family with Teenagers (detroit) giugno 2009

What can one say about this lovely, friendly hospitable family & their hotel? Nothing was too much trouble, the breakfast did not suit my diabetic husband, they did a cooked breakfast at no extra cost, arranged dinner @ a time to suit us. We (thats me, my mother, my small son and my husband) had the pleasure of staying at the hotel zilema in May. We could not fault the family at all and Dusy in particular was very helpful and friendly. Both our room and that of my mother were very clean and air conditioning was available. I persinally had no fault with the beds which i found to be comfortable. And the food was delightful - lots of fruit, fresh "cornetti" (croissants), "crostata di mela/ficchi/albiccocca" (local apple or fig or apricot tart), tea, fresh milk for our son, etc etc. We only had dinner there once as we were actually visiting family but we enjoyed our evening meal which was very much cuisine of the locality. Our only issue was that the beautiful view of the sea was sadly intersected by the railway line (only one line) and on the first night it did seem that every train in calabria was out and about! However, for the rest of the week it seemed much quieter - my mums room was a little noisier due to the fact that her room overlooked the line. An excellent hotel and staff - thanks. We stayed at this lovely little family run hotel for our first few nights in Italy in June, 2007. Our rooms with huge balconies/patios overlooked the Mediterranean and we were amazed at the level of service for such a reasonable rate.
Each morning chairs and umbrellas were placed on the beach for us so we could stroll down after breakfast.
Guardia Piemontese has not yet been discovered by North American tourists and was a lovely start to our Italian vacation.

I pasti sono fantastici, il personale parla inglese e sono altamente professionale. Durante il nostro soggiorno di quattro notte ci hanno mostrato l'ospitalità e cortesia importante che ha superato qualsiasi hotel in tutti i miei viaggi. L'hotel è idealmente situato per viaggi di giorni di villaggio cittadine come Diamonte e Tropea, ed è a soli 10 minuti da Paola.
